This trip with Soulful Tours to Dharamshala is very hard to put into words, when you first see the Himalayan mountains it takes your breath away! Soulful tours set us up in an amazing Tibetan owned hotel where Tibetan food was the main staple, and it was amazing! This is my second tour with Soulful tours (first was to Bodh Gaya), and again nothing to disappoint. My experience and knowledge gained about Buddhism( middle way philosophy) , the Tibetan people and India have expanded greatly.I cound’t recommend a better tour and pilgrimage experience then Soulful tours. Its safe, well taken care of, good hotels, great drivers and especially great teachers. Highly recommend for your first or even second or third trip to India.

Soulful Tours and Tenzin Tsogyal deliver on all fronts. Warm, accommodating and professional hospitality is the basis of Tenzin Tsogyals work and I cannot recommend his company enough. If you want to go sight seeing he will ensure you’ll have plenty of opportunities of doing so, but there was another experiential level to my stay in Bodh Gaya that he helped facilitate, and I think this may be what sets Soulful Tours apart from other traveling agencies. Our travel group had the fortune of spending time with Geshe Champa Tonyo as part of the tour package, and the in depth talks about buddhist practice, politics and life, and the laughs around the dinner table made you realise you were among friends. You can’t buy that experience, but Soulful Tours will go to great lengths to set up the framework for making it happen if you open yourself to it.

I only have good things to say about Soulful Tours! I had a great experience and a great time in Bodh Gaya with Tenzin Tsogyal, the man behind Soulful Tours, our exceptionel guide, Geshe Champa Tongyut, and our small group. We attended teachings of The Dalai Lama, meditated, got more insight into tibetan buddhism and had the opportunity to ask questions about everything we heard and experienced during the day. The hotel and the food was also great. Tenzin Tsogyal is professional, service minded, well connected and a really nice guy! He and Soulful Tours have my best recommendations!

Both Rita and myself were very satisfied with all aspects of the tour. It started with being picked up at the airport in New Dehli at 5 am and brought to Ashok Hotel. That Hotel was also very well chosen. Rooms were great and Service very good. Transfer to airport and flight to Dharamsala was well organised. On arrival in Dharamsala we met Lhamo our phantastic tourguide. The Hotel in Mcloedganj was “8 auspicious him view” which was for us just what we liked. Rooms ok (nothing too fancy) clean and the Service there was great. It is run by Tibetans and we apreciated that very much. Most we enjoyed the food it was phantastic for us as we donot eat spicy. Arrangements for the attendance of the teachings by HHDL were great. The meditation sessions and discussions were incredible and led by Geshe Jampa who we came to like and apreciate very much. Also we met our new friends Paul, Maria Pilar and Sergio who we became very close to. All in all for any of our friends this Soulful Tours will be the recommendation when going to India. Thank you soo much Tenzin and Lhamo.

Would I recommend Soulful Tours to any other none Buddhist? Absolutely. Meditation and mindfulness with an opportunity to see how adherents follow ritual to attain a calm mind is a ‘must do’. Tenzin’s care and attention were absolutely apparent; no job was too much, even to printing my boarding pass off the night before I was due to fly home.
