Ladakh is the focal point of travel and discovery. It is also an important retreat space for many religious people across the world. The feeling of calmness after visiting a monastery, trekking along the mountains and being greeted by apricot cheeked kids.
Well, the adventurekeeps on growing and of course away from the stir and storm of city life. Hemis Festival is an integral part of this programme and provides you a glimpse of the day which commemorates the birth of Guru Padamasambhava. If you are curious about oracles, you can witness Lhamo, a female Shaman-Oracle. Oracles attend patients and cure their ailments.They also predict auspicious time for various events in one’s life. In order to discover the local taste, a lunch with a local Tibetan family will be arranged on the same day. You will have the opportunity to actively participate in two days retreat on eight verses on mind training. To fetch deeper insights into Yogis, you can attend a Chod prayer. Chod ritual is an esoteric tantric practice aiming at cutting your ego or attachment to your body by mental visualizing the offering of your body to all sentient being. You will also be able to observe rituals like green tara puja, hanging prayer flags and cleansing offering.

After a delightful breakfast, we will leave towards the IG Airport and board our flight
to Leh. You are setting forth to unfold Ladakh through your own lens. Our
representatives will greet you at the Leh airport and you will be transferred to your hotel.
You are advised to take a good rest in order to acclimatise to the new environment.
In the evening we are going to visit Shanti Stupa ,Shanti Stupa is the major attraction in Leh. Perched on the mountain top, this religious place also offers a panoramic view of the Leh city and the surroundings, and short walking around the local market.

Our pilgrimage starts from Namgyal Tsemo Gompa, which consists of two small
15th-century temple buildings directly beneath the Tsemo fort ruins. One enshrines an
8m-tall gold-faced Maitreya, the other is a more atmospheric gonkhang, home of
protector deities.
TCV is an integrated charitable organisation – is to ensure that all Tibetan children under its care receive a sound education, a firm cultural identity and become self-reliant and contributing members of the Tibetan community and the world at large.
We will have the privilege of a private group session with Lhamo, a female Shaman-Oracle. The deity that enters the Shaman is associated with the energy of Sri Devi, Palden Lhamo, a female deity and the protector deity of the Dalai Lama. It is this powerful spiritual being that enters the female Shaman’s body and through whom predictions and physical healings are performed. In traditional Tibetan culture Shamans often run in family lineages, and are selected by the spiritual entity that enters them spontaneously. They are then tutored by their predecessor rather than being formally trained.
After the meeting we will have a lunch with Tibetan Family.

Early morning we are going Thiksey Gompa, watch the sunrise and attend prayers at gompa. Experience the energy of
Buddhist mantras and chants with monks. Thiksey monastery is settled on a hill top and it shares a story of its resemblance to Potala in Lhasa. The monastery houses a big statue of the Maitreya Buddha.
After breakfast at Thiksay we are going to visit Matho monastery, Matho is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery built under the Saskya Monastic Establishment by Lama Dugpa Dorje in 1410. The Matho village, which starts from Zanskar range and go across the Indus is situated at the deep gorge. This monastery is parallel to the Thiksey monastery.

On this day, we will observe Hemis Festival, which commemorates the birth of Guru
Padamasambhava. After an early breakfast, we will travel to Hemis Monastery. The
highlight of the festival displays the gathering of the lamas around the central flagpole to
perform the mystic mask dances (Chams) and sacred plays. Dressed in colourful bright
brocades with vibrantly decorated and richly adorned paper-mache masks the dancers enact
an elaborate combat between good spirits and evil demons to the clatter of drums, cymbals
and long horns.

We will sojourn to ShamValley after breakfast and visit Likir Gompa enroute. The monastery
was built in the 11th century, is known for the 75 m tall Buddha statue. Geshe la, will offer
prayers for longevity and the removal of obstacles in our life and spiritual practice.
Alchi village is known for Alchi Choskor which is one of the oldest temples in
Ladakh (a national heritage). Alchi Choskor mainly known for the preservation of 10 th
century wall paintings and images decorated by artists and craftsmen of Buddhist
Kashmir under the supervision of Lostava Rinchen Sangpo. Because of its exterior
appearance, Alchi escaped the attention of invaders from neighboring regions that
destroyed monasteries located on the Leh-Srinagar trade route.
Overnight in Grand Lamayuru hotel (Sham valley).
After breakfast drive to Wanla The monastery is believed to be built around 1000 AD. During that time, Lama Rinchen Zangpo, a saint, translated Buddha’s teachings into Tibetan. The monastery is located near the Lamayuru Monastery. The monastery falls in the category of the 108 Monasteries which were constructed during 958-1055 AD with the support of the King of Ladakh.
The key attraction of this monastery is the three-storied image of the 11-headed Mahakaruna or Avalokiteshwara. The Gompa also has many paintings of Buddha, Bodhisattvas and Mandalas.You will have a chance to meet and interact with Yogis and attend the Chod prayer lead by Yogis at Wanla. Chod ritual is an esoteric tantric practice aiming at cutting your ego or attachment to your body by mental visualizing the offering of your body to all sentient being especially to the restless hungered creatures of the spirit world.
Today we will also explore Lamayuru monastery. Lamayuru is the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in Ladakh and this monastery is the largest monastic institution of Kagyu lineage in Ladakh.

Today we will journey towards Nubra Valley. After a whirlwind of bumpy ride up the Khardunglha pass 18380 ft, enjoy the spectacular view of the surrounding mountain ranges.
Our lunch would be en-route.
On the way we will visit Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra valley. We will learn about the spiritual and cultural history of the monastery and its connection to Thikse Monastery.
We will also spend time at the nearby statue of JampaMaitreya Buddha (Buddha of the future), which stands over 100-feet tall on a hilltop just below the monastery. In 2010 His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama consecrated the statue, which promotes world peace and protects Diskit village. This colourful statue is impressive to behold, and we will explore the significance of the “future Buddha” and the role of the statue.

After breakfast we’ll drive to Yarab Tso (Vision Lake), visit this sacred Lake where according to local legend, the fine movements of the waves inspire visions in visiting pilgrims. Over there, you can hang the prayer flags and participating in special smoke prayer (Sang sol) under the guidance of your tour teacher, for the sake of peace, harmony, and the happiness to all the sentient beings.
After that we are going to visit Ensa monastery (ancient retreat centre), in Ensa we’ll do self-meditation and prayer recitation of heart sutra in monastery.

Drive back to Leh via Khardungla Pass.
You can After arrival at Leh free you are free to shop and stroll down the Leh market.
In the evening there will be conclusion of tour followed by closing prayer by Geshe La.
