Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Delhi

Late evening arrival in Delhi and check into the hotel.

Day 2Delhi (B)

After breakfast meeting and introduction session with fellow traveller . After lunch visit to national museum . The National Museum in New Delhi, also known as the National Museum of India, is one of the largest museums in India. Established in 1949, it holds variety of articles ranging from pre-historic era to modern works of art. Buddha relics at National Museum which has been presented aesthetically and are stored in ornamental caskets are one of the biggest attractions of the museum today . These relics of Buddha, discovered from Kapilvastu are a huge attraction for Buddhists and those who admire Buddha for what he did in his life time and whose word is respected.

Day 3Delhi - Leh (B+ L+ D)

After an early breakfast you are transferred to the domestic airport for your flight to Ladakh. This must be one of the most sensational flights in the world. On a clear day from one side of the aircraft can be seen in the distance the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum and on the other side of the aircraft, so close that you feel you could reach out and touch it, is the Nun Kun massif. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. You would take a little time to settle in and acclimatize since you have gone from a relatively low elevation in New Delhi to over 11,000 feet! You’ll spend the day with acclimatizing and enjoying the beautiful landscapes. Evening you will also meet your tour teacher and your fellow travellers.

Day 3Leh - Hemis - Thiksey - Leh (B+ L+ D)

Our morning starts with steaming a cup of cleansing Tibetan medicinal herbal tea, After breakfast we will drive to Thiksey monastery and Hemis monastery. You’ll begin the morning with a drive along a stupa-lined road to Hemis Monastery. Nestled deep in a gorge, the monastery is renowned for its festival celebrating the birth of Padmasambhava, or Guru Rinpoche, the second Buddha. Beneath an imposing statue, your teacher will teach you mantra of Guru Padmasambava, celebrated for its attributes of peace, stability, protection, transformation and healing. This will be followed by a lesson on the ‘Wheel of life,’ as depicted within the monastery.
the afternoon, we’ll drive to Thiksey Monastery which, perched on a rock-strewn hill, resembles the Potala in the Tibetan capital Lhasa. The monastery houses a big statue of the Maitreya Buddha, the purity of whose gaze invites reflection and silent meditation.
Evening Participate in special healing session with Tibetan female Shaman (Oracle).

Day 4Leh (B+ L+ D)

After the breakfast preparation for silence retreat and check out from the hotel. We will drive to Choglamsar and check in to retreat centre.

From day 4 evening to till day 7 we have special silence retreat course on Shamatha (mindfulness) meditation

Shamatha (mindfulness) meditation – is the practice of cultivating a focused, clear and calm mind, Mindfulness practice is essential for those who wish to subdue and heal our unruly, agitated mind.
During the shamatha retreat course participants will be introduced to the qualities that should be developed by the practice, the tools to be used and the obstacles that need to be overcome.

Through guided meditation we will explore and experience the different techniques of Shamatha meditation which include:
• Mindfulness of breathing
• Settling the mind in it’s natural state
• Awareness of awareness

With guidance and practice we will learn to combine shamatha meditation in our daily life to become a tool for everyday practice in the modern world.

The shamatha retreat courses are guided in English by monks of the Tibetan tradition.
No prior knowledge/ experience of meditation is needed – the course is suitable to all, whether you are an experienced meditator, or completely new to the practice.

5:45- 6:15 Our morning starts with steaming a cup of cleansing Tibetan medicinal herbal tea
6:15 – 7:00 silent meditation in meditation hall
7:00 – 8:00 breakfast
8:00 – 9:30 1st session
9:30 – 10:00 break
10:00 – 11:30 2nd session
11:30 – 13:00 lunch break
13:00 – 14:30 last session and practice advice.
14:30 check out from retreat centre and drive back to Leh. Upon arrival check into hotel.

DAY 8Leh - Alchi - Rizong - Ulley. (B+ L+ D)

Our morning starts with a warm glass of Tibetan herbal tea, followed by prayer and meditation for 45 minutes. Followed by breakfast. We will drive to sham valley for Alchi monastery . The village is famous for the existence of one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh (a national heritage) Alchi temple mainly known for its magnificent, and well-preserved 11th- or 12th-century wall paintings, all in an Indo-Himalaya style. Check into resort and Hot lunch at Uley ethnic resort. 2 hour rest followed by Rizong monastery and nunnery.
Rezong monastery was established in 1831 by Lama Tsultim Nima under the Gelukpa order, The monastery is also called “the paradise for meditation” and is noted for its extremely strict rules and standards.
Also nunnery is located about 2 km from the monastery, is called the “Chulichan (Chomoling), where, at present, 30 nuns reside. In nunnery we are participant in Tara puja.
Evening review of pilgrimage and walking meditation near the Indus River.

Day 9Ulley - Lamayuru - Ulley (B+ L+ D)

Again a fresh start to the morning with warm cup of Tibetan herbal tea, followed by prayer and meditation for 45 min. Meditation session will be start from 6 AM and on this session your teacher will teach you on compassion meditation. After breakfast we will drive to Lamayuru monastery, Lamayuru is the Driving Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in Ladakh and the largest monastic institution of Drikung Kagyu in Ladakh. From here we will climb to Lamayuru meditation centre. Lamayuru meditation centre is a beautiful valley where there’s small community of yogis who live and practice a kind of tantric meditation that was practiced in ancient Tibet by great yogis like Milarepa, Naropa. Chance to interact this amazing yogis and we have special chod prayer session with Yogi.

Day 10Ulley - Basgo - Leh (B+ L+ D)

A fresh start to the morning with a warm glass of Tibetan herbal tea, followed by an hour of prayer and meditation. Meditation session will be start from 6 AM and today we have continuation of compassion meditation. Breakfast. We will drive to Leh on way visit Basgo castle. Hot lunch at Leh and afternoon free for shopping.

Evening farewell party and closing of spiritual retreat tour with silence in roof of the world.

Day 11Leh - Delhi (B)

After breakfast transfer to airport and Fly to Delhi. Upon arrival check in to hotel and after lunch visit to Lotus temple.
late evening transfer to international airport and fly back to Home.
